CAVES BEACH

If you're ever in the Newcastle area I highly recommend that you pay caves beach a visit! At low tide you can explore the ocean caves that have been formed by the erosion caused by waves. Some of the caves are deep, others form tunnels from one cave to another, or from one end of the beach to another, and others form little sun shelters. We spent a good portion of our morning here. The only sad part was the rubbish that was left after new years eve celebrations  It's a lovely beach to take the little ones to explore, although it is a surf beach so not so good if the little ones are not proficient swimmers.
