DAY 10 - DAY 11 COOLOOLA BEACH RECREATION AREA, GREAT SANDY NATIONAL PARK

We left glass house mountains and headed over to Cooloola beach recreation area in the great sandy national park. At Noosa we had to cross the river so we took the barge which was only $14 each way ($7 if you have just a car)

When we finally got to Cooloola beach the sun was setting, so we needed to driver the 70 km in the dark. Lucky it was low tide as it can get quite boggy on full (as we found out on our return)

DAY 11 We headed out to freshwater lake. All the other inland tracks were closed. So then we checked out double island or DI as the locals like to call it.

Double Island

The amazing Rainbow Beach!

How good is this camp spot?
