DAY 18 - KINGFISHER BAY AND VALLEY OF THE GIANTS

We toured around central and western Fraser Island, checking out the kingfisher bay resort. This place had the most expensive fuel on this island. I would recommend fueling up on the eastern side as it is at least 10c a liter cheaper (it should be the cheapest as it is on the port and has bitchumen roads). There isn't much to see in town apart from a fairly long jetty. We saw heaps of fish swimming beneath us.

A lovely gentleman was on his wife's 40th birthday trip and spent the day fishing (by himself) he caught some bait fish so Israel could hold them (because daddy was having such bad luck hooking a fish of his own)!

Then we headed over to valley of the giants. This was the last place they logged on the Island I think the last tree was felled in 1993.

Sitting on the beach waiting for daddy to catch a fish....

No fish....
