TRAVELLING ON A BUDGET - WALLET WATCHING WEDNE$DAY LINK UP

As you may have notice my family and I love to travel. We often set off on a large trip once a year lasting for around a month, and then several other shorter trips. To be able to do this we like to find free or low cost camp sites. We traveled around Australia for a year on our honeymoon in a kombi and were largely able to do that because we were able to save on our accommodation costs.

In Canarvon WA
In Katherine
Cockle Creek Tasmania
Valley of the Giants - Western Australia
On our latest trip to Fraser Island - Lake Birrabean
On our latest trip to Fraser Island - Cooloola beach
My biggest tip on Saving money when travelling is to invest in one of these handy guides. They list most of the free and low cost camp sites across Australia.

As you can see ours is much loved. We take it on every holiday! It's filled with great maps too.

What is your money saving tip? We would love it if you could share it with us!

  1. Such a great tip! My biggest tip would be if you know you want to do a certain event or visit a tourist place pre-book and pay before you go, the prices are always cheaper than just paying at the door!
