COMO GARDENS BIANNUAL OPEN DAY

Como gardens is situated at the base of the Dandenong ranges less than 10 minutes from home. They open their beautiful gardens twice a year and have a miniature railway which meant that we HAD to visit! They have a garage full of vintage car and a lake that the local miniature boat club use to play with their toys, and stunning gardens. All the proceeds from the entrance fee, train rides and food sold go to the local SES and St Johns ambulance. These are some of the pictures of our time spent here and I think it sums it up well! If you are in the area when the open days are on I encourage you to come down and check out this lovely spot and support the local community.

As soon as we walk in we spot these beautiful ducks!
And then we spot the boats

We wander around trying to find the train and come across the old cars

But we soon find the train and climb aboard

And then we nearly crash into the derailed steam train (we nearly flung out I thought the driver was never going to break)
Israel gets a toy SES truck to pass the time waiting for the train to get put back on the rails.

And we're off again
We go for a walk and find a teddy bears picnic, and it rained the night before so there was water in the tea cups, perfect for pretend tea!

And a hidey hole thing I forgot what it was called :D
