PLAY DOUGH

Who doesn't love a good play dough recipe? there's no need to buy it when it is the quick, cheap and easy to make! This one keeps for months if you store it in an airtight container (I use a glad bag) It soft and smooth and lots and lots of fun and a great amount!

Play dough keeps my little man amused for hours especially useful when I am cooking dinner and he isn't interested in helping out and becoming restless. You can find the recipe here.

Boys being boys (and one of a keen 4x4er) he loves driving his cars through it and getting them stuck. Just make sure you clean them properly after as the dough can get stuck in the wheels and you don't want that throughout the house!

  1. Play dough is great. I made it for my kids when they were little.

  2. Love play dough! My little man is still at the stage of tasting it every couple of minutes. Eventually he will learn the taste will be the same every time no matter how many times he try's or which colour! Last lot I made went really gooey and sticky after stored in the fridge so will try your recipe next time.

    1. HAHA I don't think Israel has every tasted it (maybe once but not that I can recall) - thank goodness - but that wouldn't make it a great distraction toy (unless you wanted blue, red, green or multi-colored poo). Oh really...never had that experience of it going soft but I store mine in the cupboard in a zip lock bag or Chinese take-away container. :D happy play-doughing

  3. I need to make some play dough! My middle girl loves to sculpt and make crazy creations with it, and I must confess, I enjoy playing with it too. :)

    1. ooooooh sounds like fun! I wonder if you could bake it on a low heat, so that the creations could be ever lasting? Oh I love playing with it too, especially when it is warm out of the pot :D
