A lovely autumn selection of planting Nat :)I am yet to be a Kale convert, I keep thinking I need to try it...
ReplyDeletehehe I try and grow anything that will during winter! Kale...you either love it or hate it, I only like kale 'chips' basically dunking raw kale in hot salted water shaking off and dehydrating at 50 degrees celsius on a baking sheet for an hour or two!
DeleteNathalie, I am loving this planting resource. It is so detailed. You must keep very careful planting records. And I am continuously impressed by your harvest numbers. Do you get much frost in your area? I am wondering if I could translate this directly to my Tassie garden, or whether I would have to shift it back by a couple of weeks. I love that you are doing succession planting with your greens. I always forget that!
ReplyDeleteHi Jo! I try and keep up with my planting guide, and am usually held back by space! Thank-you re harvest's. I don't have a super large veggie patch it's just my front yard in an average suburban block (700 odd square meters) I haven't harvested too much lately as a lot was pulled out and replanted! We do get a bit of frost here, but it hasn't started yet. I plant to a cold zone, so I would think this would work in Tasmania. The only thing I would advise is the summer veggies I start in September, so I would wait a month or two to make sure it is warm enough. Happy gardening :D
